THEME : AIMEHO THE GREAT AND ITS EIGHT RADIATIONS
Àimeho nui i te rara varu is compared to the tau-mata-fee-faatupu-hau octopus with eight tentacles, nine counting its suckers and ten with its head.
Aimeho-nui-i-te-rara-varu with eight radiations separated by mountains and crests:
– Àfareaitu accounts for one radiation and is represented by Mount Tohiḕà;
– Haapiti accounts for three radiations separated by three mountains (Mouà Roa, Tiừra, and Tahatiri)
– Papetoa accounts for two radiations, separated by the mountains Teraì Maoa and Matotea;
– Teàvaro te-aha-roa accounts for two radiations separated by Mouà Puta and Rotui.
Such is the mystery of my island.
